President Bola Tinubu touched on Professor Wole Soyinka surviving prostate cancer in a tribute to the Nobel Laureate on the occasion of his 90th birthday.
In the said tribute, Tinubu announced the renaming of the National Arts Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, after Soyinka.
The presidential birthday greetings reads in part: “Having beaten prostate cancer, this milestone is a fitting testament to his ruggedness as a person and the significance of his work.”
