A truck driver is in critical condition in Igando General Hospital, Lagos where he was rushed to following serious injuries he sustained in the accident involving his vehicle and a petrol tanker at 4:17pm on Thursday at Alihaji Ede bus-stop,adjacent NNPC Petrol station around Igando General Hospital.
The petrol tanker with number plate SMK 151 XF and a truck, according to eyewitnesses, was overtaken by the truck driver who was over speeding.
In the process, the truck went off the road and crashed just by the NNPC Petrol Station. The truck driver was seriously injured and was rushed to Igando General Hospital
The accident disrupted free flow of traffic along Lasu Iba expressway as many motorists took to driving against traffic.
