A twitter user, Aminu Adamu Muhammed, is said to be in the detention of the State Security Service, SSS, for imputing corruption to wife of President Muhammed Buhari, Aisha.
According to People Gazette, Aminu had on June 8, this year, tweeted that the first lady has added weight, attributing the transformation to alleged corruption on the part of Mrs Buhari and adding that the masses were at the receiving end of it.
He reportedly tweeted in Hausa language, “Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi”. Meaning that, “the mother has gotten fatter by eating masses”.
The medium said the tweet antagonized some people in authority and landed Aminu in troubled waters with DSS who is said to be holding on to him.
Extracting from the report verbatim: “A family source said Mr Muhammed, 23, was picked up by officers on November 8 on the campus ground of Federal University Dutse, Jigawa. The student was reportedly subjected to severe beating by the officers following his arrest at about 12:00 noon.
“He was summarily transferred to Abuja and was briefly allowed to contact his father Adamu Shalele Azare about his location, which the family thought was a police station.”
