Temperature was on Thursday high at a shopping mall owned by immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha’s daughter. Mrs. Uloma Rochas-Nwosu.
The Imo Recovery of Moveable Assets, a committee set up by the state government to recover its properties ostensibly in possession of Okorocha, his cronies and relatives, stormed the mall located at Port Harcourt Road in Owerri to carry out their assignment.
Trouble however erupted when persons loyal to Mrs. Rochas-Nwosu stood in the officials’ ways, and in the ensuing melee many were left injured.
Recall that Gov. Emeke Ihedioha accused Okorocha, his family and cronies of stealing sixty seven cars, properties of the state government, an allegation the first accused denied and threatened to drag his accuser to court if it was not retracted within seven days of issuance.
