An undergraduate of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, Faderera Oloyede, has died after eating at her boyfriend’s residence in Iree area of the state.
The incident, according to multiple reports, occurred on Tuesday.
It said, it happens that Faderera in company of her friend, Adekemi Adewunmi, visited her boyfriend, Ayo Maliki, and ate a meal of rice after which she died.
It remains to be seen whether Adekemi or Maliki ate from the rice but the former has been picked up by the police, who are not ruling out foul play.
Their host, Maliki is said to be on the run with the police on his trail while the university authorities dismissed claim he is their student.
