A 200-level Computer Science student of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma, FUDMA, Katsina State, Abubakar Barda, has met his death in a fight over girlfriend.
Abubakar’s killing which occurred at the Darawa quarters of Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state, last Thursday, around 1:20p.m where the fight broke out, has also led to the suspension of seven students involved in the trifling battle by the school authorities.
Consequently, the State Police Command’s spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, issued a statement on Saturday.
ASP Sadiq dispelled rumour that the killing was religious motivated.
He said, the police has launched investigation into the matter with the view to prosecute suspects.
