The Rivers State Police Command has shared insights into what may have led to the death of a 200-level female student of the University of Port Harcourt, simply identified as Adaeze.
The latter, an accounting student contrary to earlier report that she died in the school hostel, was found dead at her room located off-campus in Aluu area.
Her body was discovered by her landlord who in turn alerted the school authorities with the police now on the matter.
Consequently, the unknown manner of her death has become a subject of investigation with the police sharing little acquaintance in an interview their spokesperson for the state police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, granted Punchng.
“The Divisional Police Officer said a landlord came to report that he saw his tenant on the ground.
“So, the DPO went there, they saw foam coming out from her nose and mouth and they also saw sniper close to her (the student).
“So, they rushed her to the hospital where she was confirmed dead. Investigation is ongoing to find out the circumstances leading to her death,” Iringe-Koko told the publication.
