Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki on Sunday visited the home of the assaulted female Sergeant-at-Arms Officer, Mrs. Sandra Davou, who fought with thugs that invaded the hallowed chamber on Wednesday.

The female officer challenged the invaders as they were about whisking away with the symbol of authority, The Mace.
The man at centre of the spectacle, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has denied any link to it, through his lawyer Mr. Lucky Ajokperniovo.
He said, “We are aware of several media reports suggesting that Senator Omo-Agege personally removed or encouraged anyone to remove the Mace of the Senate. This weighty allegation is not true at all”, part of the statement read. Nigerians, both politicians and partisans have condemned in its strong term the invasion of the senate by unknown thugs.

“However, when he was informed of the situation, the senate president quickly lauded the efforts of fellow senators in the maintenance and defendant of democracy and vowed to see justice melted on the proprietor’s of this heinous crime.. In what can be likened as a good leader, Saraki on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the sergeant-at-arms and said, “I am now at the home of Mrs. Sandra Davou, the brave female Sergeant-at-Arms Officer who was assaulted and injured in Wednesday’s invasion of the Senate Chambers”.
