The police has launched Investigation into the leakage of examination questions in the ongoing 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
There have been leakages of question papers prior to examination scheduled dates online, with the promoters selling each paper to interested candidates between N1,000 and N5,000.
The underhand deal drawn wide attention on Wednesday as the English Language paper scheduled for 2.00pm on that day did not start on time due to leakage, and consequently WAEC had to reset another question.
It resulted in late arrivals of the paper in some schools following which affected candidates had to take the exam at odd hours, which sparked wide outrage among guardians and parents.
The police, as per Punchng citing unnamed WAEC officials have opened a probe into the question papers’ leakage in general.
“We have met with all necessary agencies and are tracking the information. The process is ongoing,” the publication quoted the source as saying.
