Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Wale Edun’s sickness is “serious, but not stroke,” PUNCH Online quoted a senior official in the Presidency as saying.
Report emerged that the Finance Minister suffered stroke and was flown abroad, the latter which the publication also contradicted citing the same source who it attributed this statement to: “Yes, he’s indisposed. He’s sick, which is a bit serious, but it’s not stroke.
“As I’m talking to you, he’s in his house. He has not been flown anywhere.
“Of course, he might seek medical attention elsewhere if the doctors say that is necessary. So, it’s not true that he has a stroke.
“He doesn’t have a stroke, which is why we put it in the statement that he is indisposed.”
