Ogun government said neither it nor the patients are paying for COVID-19 tests in the state.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker disclosed this in an interview with Punchng.com when asked the total sum the state has expended on coronavirus.
Coker said he didn’t have the figure alleging that it was presently difficult due to multifaceted levels involved in the management of patients adding that as regards tests the cost are defrayed by donor(s).
She told the paper: “Ogun State does not pay for the test because it is sponsored by a donor.”
Recall that Lagos Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, said the state paid between N40,000 andN50,000 for every patient’s test .
