The Department of State Security Services, DSS, said suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, is being quizzed by its operatives.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday suspended Bawa, with his suspension made public via a statement from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), signed by the Director, Information, OSGF, Willie Bassey on Wednesday night.
“This (suspension) follows weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him,” it read partly.
Subsequently to the announcement, the embattled anti-graft czar has been guest of the secret police at Yellow House Abuja headquarters to answer query relating to his activities and inactivities in office.
This, the spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunanya, revealed by a statement.
“Bawa arrived a few hours ago. The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him”, Afunanya wrote.
