Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has made public what set him apart from about-to-be former governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The latter’s administration is peculiarly family affairs, with his wife and children also pulling the strings from their various corners.
A testimony to this, is the N35m commission for facilitation of allocation of government’s land Ganduje’s son, Abdualzeez, accused his mother, Hafsat, of receiving from his contact without keeping her side of the bargain to which he reported the first lady to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Yusuf on Wednesday in his acceptance speech after receiving his certificate of return, said he won’t follow Ganduje’s steps in matters of Kano first family.
Remarking, “My wives will not be part of the governance. My children will not be part of the governance. And I can tell you for sure that this is the same for my deputy governor.”
