The verdict that President Bola Tinubu is guilty of anti-party activity handed down by some All Progressives Congress leaders in Anambra State followed the appointment of Bianca Onoh-Ojukwu as minister.
Ojukwu, according to the aggrieved leaders is a card-carrying member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
The ex-beauty Queen and widow of late Biafra warlord, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, was appointed minister of state for foreign affairs subjects to Senate approval.
The appointment is to the displeasure of some APC leaders in Anambra where she comes from.
They, are at a stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Awka on Thursday, berated Tinubu’s choice.
“This is nothing but an act of anti-party, and it is detrimental. By empowering members of other political parties at the expense of the APC in Anambra State, Mr President is not supporting party loyalty,”High Chief Bunty Onuigbo, the South East Zonal Secretary of APC and a member of the APC Elders Forum in Anambra, said on behalf of others.
“Does Mr President want a mass defection of APC members in Anambra to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)? Is he indirectly working for APGA in Anambra State?” Onuigbo said further.
