Popular TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, famously known as Peller, has revealed that he was born into Islam but ditched the religion due to maltreatment meted to him by quaranic teachers.
Peller made this known during a live session with his fans, where he said the abuse motivated him to become a Christian.
“I’m not a Muslim. I’m a Christian. I go to church,” he declared.
He further said, “I was beaten severely when I was young at the Quranic School. That’s why I stopped going.”
He added that the childhood experience pushed him away from religious education, and played a significant role in shaping his spiritual journey.
