Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Tunde Bakare, has pushed back at mortifying supposition that his visit to President Bola Tinubu is driven by personal gain.
Bakare has a disposition to reproach the President publicly.
The pastor’s visit to Tinubu during the recently held Sallah celebration called forth speculation in some circles that Bakare had gone to make friend with the president for personal reason.
That suggestion, the former APC presidential aspirant dismissed while preaching at his church.
“Some people think I went there to settle myself. What have I ever taken before? What they gave me, I returned. What am I looking for?
“It’s not just about criticism; it’s about ensuring the country works. My vision is to see Nigeria function in my lifetime,” he remarked.
