Abosede, Mohbad’s mother, has attributed the war between her ex, Joseph, and widow of the late singer, Omowunmi, to struggle for her son’s property.
Abosede declared this in an interview with Punchng in which she said Mohbad’s father and his widow used to be friends, “Omowunmi and Joseph were very close, and even I could not get between them. Whenever I visited Mohbad’s house, Joseph would tell Omowunmi to put only one meat in my food.
“Omowunmi and Joseph were friends, and it was pointless to fight any of them.
“What made Mohbad’s father upset started during Liam’s christening. He said they should have the ceremony in his house. But, I insisted that it should take place in Mohbad’s house.”
She went on to say that the property and money the deceased singer left behind have further tore them apart saying, “The major reason Joseph is having issues with Mohbad’s wife is because of my late son’s money and properties.”
