Dazan Charity, the final year student of Yaba College of Technology(Yabatech), Lagos, whose death on Wednesday led to protest in the school marked her birthday last month.

Charity’s death yesterday grounded activities in the school after students took to the streets, blaming her death on the poor state of the school medical facilities and the refusal of medical personnel to swiftly attend to her but demanding N35,000. yabatech

Information available to OrijoReporter revealed that the diseased, a Higher National Diploma II student in the Department of Technology Management marked her 27th birthday on January 9, exactly one month ago.

It was gathered that Charity hailed from Badagry and before joining Yabatech did her Ordinary National Diploma in Ibadan Polytechnic.

A staff of the French Village International Staff School, Ajara, where she was a secretary, the deceased was a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Campus Fellowship Yabatech Chapter.
