Ogun ex-lawmaker, Yinka Mafe, dies on his birthday

The immediate past Majority Leader of the Ogun House of Assembly, Hon Yinka Mafe has dropped dead.

Mafe died on Feb 4th, his birthday, from suspected heart attack.

The 46-year-old was said to have complained of chest pain leading up to his untimely death.

The deceased started out his political career as a Councillor, before he was elected into Ogun State House of Assembly where he was Chairman House Committee on Education, Science and Technology.

He was one of the stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress, in Ogun, that cross carpeted to Allied People’s Movement (APM) in the wake of the open crisis that hit the ruling party ahead of the general election.

He had long returned to the fold.
