Zamfara State Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar was at a time quizzed by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC. That was in November 2007 when he was among the Zamfara State Officials charged with money laundering.
The former federal lawmaker and a member of the state cabinet during Sen. Ahmad Yerima’s time as governor of the state recently bought an eye popping mansion in Kaduna.
Gov. Yari’s new acquisition was built by owner of A.A Oil, an oil and gas firm who is also into building and selling of properties. Sources said that the house, which he bought for N800m is located at Malali in GRA.
It was further gathered that Late President Umar Yar‘Adua’s male children from his other wife, Musa and Ibrahim also bought a building built by the same person in the same GRA Kaduna for N60m about five months ago.
Their own is situated at U/Rimi GRA Camp Road off Tafawa Balewa. It is adjacent to that of Former Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringm.
