Fourteen guests returning from a traditional marriage and wedding ceremony in Enugu State have died in auto crash.
The tragedy occurred on Saturday night when the coaster bus the victims were in had a collision with an articulated vehicle (trailer) on the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway, near the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ozalla.
While fourteen in the coaster bus died, including popular Master of Ceremony in Umuahia known as MC Counsellor, who had gone to anchor the wedding ceremony, some others escaped death with varying degrees of injuries.
It was gathered that several survivours are still battling for their lives in different medical facilities in Umuahia.
Reports said most of the deceased were traders dealing in foodstuffs at Bonny Street and were the groom, Mr. MacDonald Okechukwu’s colleagues.
