Confusion has surrounded Rivers State Gov. Nyesom Wike’s birthday as two different dates, March 12 and August 24 puzzled his supporters, political jobbers and businessmen and women.
Free encyclopedia, Wikipedia, said Wike was born on August 24,1967.
And last week on a facebook account purported to be his, government ministries, local government Chairmen and contractors were urged to place goodwill messages in newspapers congratulating the governor on his 48th birthday.
But another facebook handle purporting to be that of the governor has his date of birth as March 12, 1964.
Recently Gov. Wike denied having a facebook account. However, his supporters, political jobbers and members of his cabinet are at a loss as to his birthday.
In a separate chats had with Vanguard on the controversy surrounding the birthday of their principal, the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the governor, Mr. Opunabo Nko-Tariah and the Commissioner of Housing , Mr. Emma Okah raised further question when the latter in a text to the paper said, Gov. Nyesom Wike’s birthday was not August 24 as claimed by Wikipedia.
