At least twenty three members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly are presently in quarantine after one of them, Sulaiman Adamu, died of COVID-19.

Adamu, who was representing Nasarawa central in the House passed on, on Sunday, three days after falling sick and before the coronavirus test conducted on him came out positive.

In the light of the incident, the state governor,  Abdullahi Sule, ordered the closure of the Assembly.

The deceased’s colleagues have also been quarantined alongside late Adamu’s family while contact tracing is ongoing.

“The family members of the late lawmaker have also been quarantined, alongside members of the state assembly,” Gov. Abdullahi Sule said in Keffi, the state capital.
