Five out of the seven Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, sacked by the Yemi Cardoso-led leadership of the the apex bank are reportedly contemplating taking the authorities to court.
Recall that seven unnamed Directors of the CBN were said to have been booted out in the ongoing reorganization of the bankers’ bank by the incumbent governor, Cardoso.
Emerging report said two of the directors whose appointments were terminated have accepted their fate as they have been indicted for alleged involvement in the purported financial malfeasances in the CBN during the time of disgraced governor, Godwin Emefiele.
However, going further by The Nation, their colleagues perceived their own dismissal as injustice and are considering seeking redress at the law Court.
“And they have not been implicated in any misconduct. One of the directors affected has just two years and two months left in service,” the publication quoted an unnamed source as saying.
It also said, twelve more directors have equally been penciled down for sack.
