A 500-Level student at Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ayomide Akeredolu is dead.
Ayomide’s death also sparked protest in the institution as his colleagues pointed accusing fingers at the school’s medical emergency.
The deceased had slumped at the hall of residence few days to his final papers and consequently rushed to the institution’s medical facility where he was confirmed dead.
Subsequently, the students blamed the incident on the hospital saying it’s deficient in amenities.
It culminated in a protest on Friday, with the students blocking the front of their school on the Akure/Ilesha express road for several hours, and as a result causing gridlock.
