The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has weighed in on the report that the Minister of Arts and Culture, Mrs Hannatu Musawa, is currently observing the mandatory one-year service.
Musawa has been in the news over her NYSC issue with controversy as to the propriety of being appointed a minister while she is serving.
The Director, Press and Public Relations of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Eddy Megwa enlightened the knowledge of the public about the true situation in an interview with Daily Trust.
Megwa, according to the report, was originally mobilised in 2001 for the youth service to Ebonyi State where she had her orientation programme but later relocated to Kaduna State to continue the programme, and along the line called time on it.
He added that the Minister had been serving for the past eight months in the FCT.
