Ex-Head of State, late General Sani Abacha’s Chief Security Officer, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, said not all of the country’s stolen monies being repatriated was that of his deceased principal.
Al-Mustapha stated this in an interview he granted the Voice of America, VOA, Hausa Service on Thursday where he claimed most of the repatriated monies were stolen by Abacha’s successors.
He explained that Abacha’s loots had all been returned back to the country.
According to him, when late Abacha assumed office he met about $200 billion in Nigeria’s foreign reserve and grew it to over $900 billion saying there was a deliberate and sustained efforts to unabatedly denigrate the person of his late principal because he stepped on so many elite’s toes.
