Commissioner for Water Resources in Kogi State, Abdulmumuni Danga, has finally been charged to court for alleged rape.
Danga has been mired in sensational rape scandal following allegation by one Elizabeth Oyeniyi that on March 29, 2020, he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her multiple times, subjected her to beating and causing her bodily harm.

On Tuesday, charge was brought against the embattled commissioner with a seven-count charge filed by the police at a Federal High Court in Abuja.
He is indicted for allegedly falsifying documents, threatening a medical officer to forge a test result, raping Ms Onyeniyi, and inflicting physical injury on her through flogging.
He is to be arraigned alongside one Success Omadivi, 35.
