The negative reports surrounding the health of Senate President Godswill Akpabio has drawn reaction from a media consultant to him, Kenny Okolugbo.
Akpabio was earlier in the week said to have died in a London hospital, a claim the Senate denied at a plenary Akpabio himself presided over, where they called for the investigation of those behind it.
SaharaReporters had in the report, claimed the Senate President collapsed and was flown on a private jet to London for treatment, alleging
that this situation kept him away from official duties, including the Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper interactive session held on Wednesday.
Okolugbo followed in Senate’s footstep in an interview he granted Channels Television’s programme Morning Brief on Thursday saying, “The Senate President is very healthy. You saw him; he’s been attending sessions, and that answers the question.”
Before he added: “We must regulate social media. Everybody’s a publisher online, but they don’t seem to understand that the law prohibits sharing information you are not sure of.”
