Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi has been ruled out of next Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo, and the return leg in Yaounde following a thigh muscle strain.

The 21-year-old was one of the 23 players invited for the double-header. He has been replaced by CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel.
Iwobi played in all the two Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifying matches against Algeria and Zambia. He scored one of the goals in the 2-1 victory over Zambia.
