The report that some persons in the cabinet of sick governor Rotimi Akeredolu embarked on forging his signature to steal from the treasury, has drawn reaction from the Ondo State government quarters.

Earlier, two documents bearing different signatures allegedly of the ailing governor prompting dispute over which of it is original or fake circulated online.

Reacting to the report, the commissioner for information and orientation in Ondo State, Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju said nothing of such has taken placed.

Ademola-Olateju made the rebuttal on Thursday while briefing newsmen after the over-five-hour State Executive Council meeting held in Akure.

She said instead, Akeredolu has been up to his duty in terms of treating files, saying, “The governor still attends to files. Nobody is forging Mr. Governor’s signature.”
