Director’s killing: Ogun orders one-week of flag flying half-mast

The Ogun Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has ordered that flags should be flown half-mast in mourning of slain Director of Finance and Administration in the Governor’s Office, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi.

The latter was murdered by armed robbers in the line of duty on Wednesday while coming from a bank in a bullion van at Abeokuta.

He was shot dead with his killers making away with money in the van.

Abiodun during a condolence visit to the home of the deceased on Thursday where he pledged government’s support for the bereaved family ordered flying of flags half-mast in mourning of the slain Director for a week.

“How could we imagine yesterday morning that we would be here this morning condoling with this family?

“We are all heavily burdened, the pain not describable. He left us asking questions since yesterday afternoon,” the governor also said.
