Mrs Aishatu Mohammed, wife of Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed, has revealed that she married her spouse at the tender age of 16.
Mrs Mohammed, who is the governor’s first wife made this revelation in an interview she granted NAN where she explained that as at that time she had no form of formal education.
“I was 16 years old and a stark illiterate when I married my husband.
“We were 100 girls in our family; none went to school; I only started school after my third child,” the publication quoted her as saying.
Recall that the one-time senator and minister under the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, this year’s July picked Natasha Mariana, a Lebanese-Nigerian woman as his second wife.
