Anambra State government has thrown light on suggestion by the federal government that it was not doing enough in conducting COVID-19 test on its residents.
The federal government through the President Taskforce on COVID-19 listed the states including Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Osun and Zamfara among those with low COVID-19 test.
Anambra government in response to the allegation attributed the situation to Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and clerics in the state among other challenges facing it in an interview the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C-Don Adinuba, granted Punchng.com.
“But of late, our people have not been going for testing because of reasons like indoctrination by IPOB, and the clerics telling [people] that COVID-19 is not real. Also, our doctors treat COVID-19 patients in their private hospitals,” the paper quoted Adinuba as saying.
