Lagos State government said it would reopen the Third Mainland Bridge fully for vehicular movement by February 2021.
Third Mainland Bridge has been under rehabilitation for several months leading to partial and total closure of the bridge at different times.
The consequence has been a gridlock going in and out of Island with January 2021 date earlier targeted for completion by government.
Lagos government said the date is no longer feasible and has been shifted to February in an interview the Commissioner for Transport in the state, Frederic Oladeinde, granted Punchng.com on Friday.
“It was supposed to be January but it is now February 2021. It has been moved by a month. The first phase is finished, the second phase has started,” Oladeinde told the paper.
