Further light has been thrown on Friday’s bank robbery in Otukpo, Benue State on Friday that claimed at least twelve lives including that of Divisional Police Officer for the area, Otukpo, John Adikwu, three female cops, and a banker, Emmanuel Uche.

The ill-fated banks: UBA, First Bank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank and Stanbic IBTC Bank came under the attack of the armed robbers whose first port of call was the station in area.

At the latter, the gunmen shot dead three policewomen met at the entrance.

One of them, Emmanuella Ankyov, the DPO, Adikwu, also suffered casuality.

Others include two persons simply identified as Uloko and Desmond.

Report said, Uche was newly-employed by UBA and joined the bank about a week ago.

The victim hailed from Abia State.

He reportedly finished the mandatory national service earlier this year.

Meanwhile four of the robbery authors have been arrested.

The robbers’ arrest followed the combined efforts of military men and the police among others.

The suspects were caught along Otukpo-Taraku road, Benue State on Saturday.

The video of them under arrest and in handcuffs with gunshot injuries is circulating online.
