A popular traditionalist, Abdullazeez Adegbola, popularly known as Tani Olohun, has been granted bail by a magistrate court presided over by Muhammed Ibrahim on Monday.
This is coming after the accused had spent about 69 days in the correctional facility, Oke-Kura, Ilorin.
He was first remanded on August 22, 2023.
Reading the terms, magistrate Ibrahim disclosed that the bail was granted in the sum of N200,000 and two sureties in like sum and that one of them must be blood relation and resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
The court further ordered that Tani-Oloun must be coming to court fortnightly, adding that a register must be opened for him by the court registrar.
The court, however, adjourned the case to November 21, 2023.
Tani Olohun is standing trials before three separate magistrate courts over alleged offence of defamation of some Islamic scholars in Ilorin.
Two of the cases in the other courts are yet to be determined.
