A 20-year-old newlywed, Aisha Aliyu, has killed her husband, Idris Ahmadu, in Niger State.
The incident occured at Nasarawa Village in Lapai Local Government Area of the State.
As per Daily Trust, the ghastly event took place in the early hours of Monday at around 1.00am about six weeks into their marriage after dating for around a year.
The report said ahead of their wedding, Aisha desired to call it off and marry another man but had to follow it through reluctantly.
On the fateful day, she was said to have stabbed the deceased in the chest and went on to slaughter him before taking flight.
“When the mother came out alongside other residents, they saw him in a pool of blood. He tried to run out of room but he fell at the doorstep. But up till now, we don’t know the whereabouts of his wife,” an eyewitness told the publication.
