A trending video has shown the moment Chineme Martins, a defender with Nasarawa United FC, died on the field of play.

Martins slumped while his side was playing Katsina United at Lafia, in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match day 23 game and was confirmed dead at Dalhatu- Araf Specialist Hospital.

In the flip, medics of the two clubs were seen performing a below par Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the deceased player while a Muslim could be heard chanting a popular Islamic phrase during the death of a person.
