Popular comedian, Akpororo, took the occasion of the last Sunday service of Ultimate Power Ministry at Okokomaiko in Lagos State to propose marriage to his girlfriend, Josephine.
Eyewitness said Akpororo saved the best for last as he started reeling off joke after joke and occasionally picking on people in the congregation, including his comedian colleagues, Shortfamily, Laffdoctor, Wiseone and Ovie.
But as the Pastor and founder of the church, Bishop Israel Mathew was about wrapping the service up, four children walked up to the altar with each of them carrying a cardboard paper, and when they got to the middle, they all turned to face the congregation as they open the cardboard paper with “WILL YOU MARY ME” boldly written on it. The whole church thought it was a joke, still.
Akpororo was nowhere around. At that point, Bishop Israel Mathew, walked up and said, “one of my sons is asking someone here this question”.
Just then, AKPORORO walked up to the altar and knelt down in front of Josephine and asked, “Will you marry me”? with tears, Josephine grinning with smile said an emphatic “YES!
