A dog has reportedly killed a nursery school pupil, David Emmanuel, and injured another one, named Benita Adejoh, at a school in Rumuagholu in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Punchng.com reports that in reprisal, David’s death was avenged by mob who stoned the dog to death.
The paper said that it happened that the owner of the dog was not in town and had left the dog in the care of a security guard of his residence but due to dereliction of duty the pet went to the school which was unfenced to wreck havoc by killing eight-year-old David and injured Adejoh, the deceased’s schoolmate.
“The dog escaped from the compound when the gate was left open, went to the primary school, which was nearby and unfenced, where it attacked its victims,” it wrote.
