David Umahi physiotherapist death has been confirmed by the Works Minister.
The news of Mary Habila, David Umahi physiotherapist death surfaced on Friday.
It had it that Habbila was seconded to attend to the minister alongside one Anita Baski.
She however died at the Minister’s residence at Uburu, Ebonyi State allegedly in mysterious circumstances, on June 27, 2026, barely a day after she resumed work alongside Baski, with both said to hail from Kaduna State.
The occurrence was reportedly veiled in obscurity, purportedly with the view to keep the public in the dark.
Umahi himself has confirmed the incident by proxy.
In a statement his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, issued, Umahi, said the deceased was seconded to him from David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences.
Describing the incident as “unfortunate”, he called for autopsy to determine the immediate and remote cause of Habila’s death.
“The Honourable Minister has again reiterated his position that an autopsy must be conducted. He remains convinced that this is the most credible and responsible path to resolving all questions surrounding the unfortunate incident,” the statement read partly.
