Lagos State First Lady, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has come under attack following her comment arising from the death of a medical doctor, Dr. Vwaere Diaso and the crash of a helicopter on Tuesday.
The Tuesday’s sad incidents proved right the saying, misfortune doesn’t come alone.
While Dr Diaso who was undergoing housemanship at General Hospital Odan, Lagos Island died as a result of the facility’s faulty elevator, the helicopter crashed at Ikeja with four persons aboard injured.
Addressing the deceased doctor’s protesting colleagues, Mrs Sanwo-Olu said in her address, “An arrow has been fired into the health family. The first of August is a day I will never forget.
“The same day a helicopter crashed, the same day a lift dropped down. How? How? How?”
Firing of arrow at someone in certain quarters in Yoruba parlance connotes spiritual attack.
The comment has drawn the Lagos first lady criticism from many Netizens with one @DieuEmeka tweeting, “The how is simple nah. The government which her husband heads failed to maintain the lift. There was no arrow. It was simply a result of corruption and irresponsibility on the part of the government. That is what, why, and how.”
