Another medical doctor, Dominic Essien, is feared to have died from coronavirus in Ibom Multispecialty Hospital, Uyo.
Essien was the Chief Medical Director and owner of San Dominique Hospital, Uyo and a physiotherapist and lecturer in the Department of Physiology, University of Uyo.

Leading up to his demise he was reportedly exhibiting symptoms of the virus including fever, dry cough and found it difficult to breath before passing on Thursday.
His death underlined the collapse of the country’s medical sector following reports that he supposed to be on ventilator but the state allegedly has none.
Doctors are said to be awaiting official test result to confirm if it was a case of COVID-19 .
A Facebook user, Ekpeno-sifon Thompson posted on his demise: “Oh my Boss, a medical Dr/Physiotherapist, Dr Dominic Essien just died yesterday at Ibom Specialty Hospital ????????????????????He was the Medical Director of San Dominic’s Hospital, Ewet Housing Estate.May his soul rest in peace. Amen ???? Please Stay safe please.”
