One Emeka Emmanuel has been arrested for impersonating official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Emmanuel was arrested on Saturday morning at Iyana-Iba in Ojo area of Lagos, according to Police spokesman DSP Bala Elkana.
Elkana said the 29 year-old was embroiled in job scam. He allegedly deceived one Olaposi Semiu to believe he could get him employment at EFCC and under the guise swindled his victim of N51, 000.
Semiu had drawn the attention of officers attached to Ojo Police Station to his ordeal and on the strength of the complaint, Emmanuel was arrested.
The suspect was also found to be running an illegal medical facility at his premises.
“Other items recovered include medical equipment and fake certificates. The command is advising the public, especially job seekers, to be mindful of the activities of such scammers to avoid falling prey of their antics. Investigation is ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court,” Elkana said.
