Ex-Flying Eagles and Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has revealed that his family is one of the victims of notorious kidnapper Chukwudi Dumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans.
The former defender who used to ply his trade in Turkey and France said Evans led his gang to kidnap his aged father, Chief James Iloenyosi, on November 25, 2013, collected N15m ransom from the family, killed the victim and buried him.

Chikelu shared this information with Punch in an interview he granted the paper in which he faulted claims by Evans that he has never killed any of his victims.
The ex-International stated that a member of the gang, Nonso, who was arrested after the ransom was paid, and his father was not released told the police that Evans was their leader.
He said, “He(Nonso) immediately told us that his leader was Evans. But he said there was no way we could get Evans because he had fled to Lagos after the completion of the operation. At this point, Nonso kept our hope alive. He said my father was still alive. He refused to give precise information…We were calling Evans to pinpoint his location but it was all abortive. Nonso was later made to call another member of the gang called Awolowo to inform him that there was an operation.
“But Awolowo said he did not want to do any operation at the time because his wife had just put to bed. Nonso said Awolowo was part of Evans’ Asaba, Delta State group.”
Chikelu added that Nonso later took him and the police to a forest where the body of his father who was 86-year-old then was buried after he was killed by the kidnappers.
