Nwosu Chikodi Chukwuma aka Skudo, a member of kidnapping gang led by Chukwudi Dumeme Onuamadike aka Evans, has told investigators that the kingpin murdered one of their colleagues and was having a romantic relationship with his victim’s widow, Amaka.

Skudo disclosed this in police custody during interrogation. However, the billionaire kidnapper has denied it.
Amaka, who reportedly bore children for her late husband, was said to be Evans’ favourite mistress out of the four he had.
The billionaire kidnapper, was able to escape arrest for six years due to the phones he used, police sources said.
Evan was arrested last Saturday six years after police were on his trail.
Police sources said the notorious kidnapper who specialised in high-profile abductions, and collected millions of dollars in ransoms used three phones.
The phones, two Slim Vertu phones and a Thuraya, have anti-tracking devices to frustrate his arrest. Two of them reportedly cost N2.4m and N2.6m respectively.
The phones’ features prevented police from hacking into his phones and eavesdropped on his calls.
“Thuraya phone can’t be tracked and it doesn’t use SIM card. It can get signal anywhere, either under the sea or in the jungle because it works with satellite,” a security agent explained.
Sources said, the billionaire kidnapper, who also deals in drugs had 126 registered SIM cards.
This also made it difficult for police to track him down.
He reportedly procured the registered SIM cards at Computer Village in Ikeja for N1,500 per one to avoid being linked to them.
It was gathered that Evans’ arrest followed the decoding of his phones by experts, and the arrest of his sister, his mistress, Amaka, and Skudo, earlier on.
Reports said that Evans had a dedicated line, which he used to call his mother, sister, Amaka and Skudo, which the police succeeded in bugging.
