Ex-basketball international Samuel Oguche has said that he and Bullet Energy drink would stem the sliding tide in Nigeria’s basket as they jointly embark on serious grass-roots basketball development.
Uk-based Oguche at the day 2 of the 3rd edition of the Bullet Energy drink basketball youth camp holding in Onitsha, Anambra State, stated that Bullet Energy drink plans to have a basketball refinery in the country with sole aim of producing basketball stars that will represent the country in international competitions.

He stressed further that Bullet Energy drink is determined to contribute to the revival and development of sports in Nigeria. According to him, the Bullet Energy project would start with a Basketball Academy which will be supervised by a consortium of experienced basketball coaches to get the kids off the streets.

Oguche confirmed that Male and female youngsters within the 12 and 16 age bracket will be eligible for admission into basketball academy abroad to train towards becoming future champions.

Oguche said Bullet Energy drink is into sports development because “ the brand believe that sports has the ability to change lives, transform communities, shape the future of nations, reduce crime, improve behaviour, increase ethical, democratic and racial tolerance.”
