A human right activist in Togo, Farida Nabourema, has threatened to curse singer Yemi Alade for performing at the just concluded event organised by the country’s embattled leader, Faure Gnassingbé Eyadéma.

Not few Togolese fans of the singer had expressed their disappointment at her for endorsing Eyadéma by performing at a show he organised.
“Is it because they paid her a couple of hundreds thousands of dollars?
“This lady is just a disappointment. I’m so angry and so mad at her that I swear if I see her on the street, I’m going to curse her because these are people who are feeding on the sufferings of others.
“They are embellishing the image of brutal dictators just for a couple of thousands of dollars,” Nabourema, who was livid with anger said in a recent interview he granted in French.
