The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos during the last election, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has made an uncomplimentary remark about one-time governor of the state, Babatunde Fashola.

During the latter’s time as governor, Jandor was the state government-owned television station, LTV 8 correspondent in Governor’s Office.

And in the heat of the campaign for Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s re-election, thus piting the incumbent against Jandor, Fashola described the PDP candidate as a former cameraman in his office.

“But for me, I think he(Fashola) should rather be proud that somebody who was following him everywhere, even if that person is a cleaner, that such a person has grown to a point where they can say they want to run for that office,” Jandor retorted in an interview he granted Punchng and published on Sunday.

In the same interview, the former broadcaster said the ex-minister is politically a failure, saying, “I can’t rule out the fact that under his tutelage I was able to understand the nitty-gritty of governance and I was able to learn from his failure as a politician, not as an administrator, because he didn’t fail as an administrator. That prepared me to be able to fight and challenge the polity and do what I’m doing today.”
